An unusual item made by a firm of cutlers to offer its owner that added bit of protection!
If one looks in the right angle/light the word "self protector" show up on the larger of the two blades.
The barrel is of brass with proof mark stamped on the left side with the concealed trigger between the blades having to be manually hooked out when required.
Both tools, (much like a Swiss Army Knife). the ball mould and rammer are still present.
There is also a small trap between these tools for holding the caps and or balls.
This piece is in better condition than most that have come to the market recently.
